I spent the evening reading Shakespeare criticism. A couple of quotes struck me.

It's odd that the manner of Kit Marlowe's death is a source of comfort to me at this moment. (If you're curious: He was maybe stabbed in the eye with a poniard, or maybe it was all faked… although I highly doubt it.) It was, at least, a very visceral way to die.
