As once again thoughts of those already passed keep lingering at the edges of my mind.
Well that, and playing a mix I call 'Mmm, Bitterness' while driving. Oy, what a mindfuck. I swear in about a five mile drive I think I came within a hair's breadth of crashing about three times. First was pulling out and not seeing someone coming from my left. Others too. I got to the lot of Staples down here and had to just...sit there and figure out how to be more observant. I swear this state is batshit crazy in so many ways. At least the mate and I head home this coming Wednesday.
The financials are absolutely singing, as we've already surpassed the gross profit from last year, with two more months to go. So that part of the life seems in order, stable even. We're even talking about a model of fleet ownership we've seen,
listed here! It'd be interesting to feel out, as in some ways we're still nailing down the finer points of incorporating, though that's getting smoother every quarter. Adding employees would complicate matters considerably, and would need quite a bit of thought and discussion on the pros and cons of going that route. We'd make more money sure, but like every expansion there's also an expansion of responsibilities and things to fill out, forms to send in, taxes to pay and so on. Wheeeee.
High point of the day, Phillies winning Game Four of the NLCS 10-6. Things took a much less than promising start when they fell behind 4-0 midway through the 1st inning. But they nearly evened it up with three runs in the bottom of the inning, then tied, fell behind again 6-4, tied it again in the bottom of that inning, then pulled ahead 8-6, 9-6, then 10-6 where it stayed till the end. So yeah, a darn good high point.
So maybe that was to make up for the near crashes of this early afternoon, as well as once I got to the Staples round here, I discovered the document I THOUGHT I wanted them to print wasn't it at all. Something went bad on the USB stick. So I got back, and caught a second error, in that I filled out a 2021 form for 2022. Ooopsy! Fortunately it was easy enough to copy the figures over, THEN get to an eyeglass repair shop to fix the mate's glasses, THEN a UPS store where I could both print out and send off the third quarter 941 certified mail return reciept requested. Oh, so much FUN!
