I'm a stubborn old cuss.

Feeling like one of the last hangers on from blogging's "trendy" phase. But with both my in-laws in the grave now, my own parents can't be too far behind. Then again, I've still got a living GRANDPARENT at 47. Or at least he was at last check, kinda like Abe Vigoda. *cringe*. I wonder if that FF plugin is still available. Oh so many ancient(in tech terms) things. I STILL play Empire, only the Linux version rather than the DOS version now, mainly because it's the only version I CAN play now, unless I somehow boot a laptop off a Win98 floppy. Which I can do. I have a USB floppy drive. Hell, I still have a 5.25 inch floppy drive. Haven't used any of those buggers in years, and should probably just frisbee 'em outta here. I don't think there's any important data on them, maybe an old story or two I've already saved to the hard drives. Who knows. And I really should check, because I've had to pitch more than one 3.5 floppy because the drive couldn't read or format it. Anyway, with these newfangled memory sticks, I could fit 'em all onto one for about $15. And those buggers shouldn't wear out unless I break 'em somehow, which I did with one. Of course, it just HAD to be the most expensive, 64gb one. Kingston is nice in that it color codes, so drives of different capacities come in different colors. The ones chosen look completely arbitrary, but that's just how it goes sometimes. I only have two anyway, an 8gb and a 64gb, red and green respectively.

Then again, I took some time out for a viewing of the IMAX version of "Interstellar". Is it just me, or are megascreens just...overrated? I've seen other movies, actually created with IMAX in mind, and those played quite nicely, especially with the one back home in Oregon.

Still dancing around that our drive-in got upgraded! And I helped by voting every day I could remember. *dances to the Plastics "Diamondhead"*. Yeah, I've got the 80's mix going. I'm getting toward the half century mark. And for years, I've been doing curmudgeon practice.

Sometimes when I'm alone driving in the car, I'll act like the stereotypical old man out of old westerns, full of "dabnabbit", "consarnit", and of course the sound of frustration, "Mahhhhhhhh..." with the h's trilling(?) off into silence. Well with a few more modern cusses thrown in, but with the same voice. At least I find it amusing sometimes.

tmi, news, wtf?, down the rabbit hole, blatherings, thoughts
