Came home also to find the house nearly overrun with those bloody soil ants again. My guess is that since it's rained so damn much, they were forced out of their underground lairs to places above ground, LIKE OUR CRAWLSPACE.
I mean, ants in the computer room where no food ever stays? Come on. And don't even think about leaving so much as a crumb out, or you'll have a swarm on your hands instantly.
We did have Alpha Ecological to help send the ants on their merry path to the great hereafter. You couldn't even see the bait they laid down since it got covered in ants. Geez!
But in even sadder news, evidence of mice in the crawlspace, droppings mostly, I guess since the neighbor's house is so run down, they've probably got an infestation and now it's affecting us. How um, neighborly of them. So for an addition price, we had two traps for those critters set up, one outside, one in the crawlspace. At least now the check for them will fall under maintenance, so at least that cost won't go up. We have spiders too but they can just be let alone. I have no idea what they'd go for in this house, other than possibly ants. Ha!
I like ants. I like mice sometimes. They simply belong outside our home, not in it, not under it.
Now, it's onward to finishing up the taxes. Mainly finding those four months of logs we were missing, tallying them up, and entering the data into the appropriate spreadsheets, and voila! Excel calculates the deduction for me. How about that?
