Had been without any net access for a few days. An post of things archived while away will clear up why.
August 5, 2010 - When is Unlimited NOT unlimited?
Fun. Got done fighting with the cell company yesterday. Found out that even though we are on their most expensive plan, we do NOT have an unlimited amount of data we can transfer before incurring additional charges. It all started when the aircard refused to connect to anything. I checked the messages and found AT&T had sent us one saying our account had been temporarily suspended. I'm going WTF? On an unlimited account? What for? So a call to customer service later revealed that no, we actually have a 5gig limit per month. Now we can go beyond that, for 5 cents for each additional Mb transferred. Our next fiscal month starts on the 8th, so we're staying offline until then. This just means I'll be typing my entries into a text file, then posting either then or when I can get some free Wifi access. Though with the way things are going, I feel the 8th will come first.

Some day, I need to take some new pics of myself in the new Phillies cap, and perhaps pose for others just for an updated look. Will let you know when and where they happen. Oh! And I need to thank Sutekh for giving me a bit of a continuation idea for Bar of the Gods, Further Excursions. He offers Joe a deal on owning that book store. We'll see how that transpires.
August 7, 2010 - Too much fun.
Well, arrived about oh, 3 hours early or so for our delivery of cell phones(yea...), and the next load comes in. WTF? Pick up at 0200 tomorrow? Oh well, at least it gives us all afternoon and evening to play around and such. And play around I know we will. :P
Also the things an delivery appointment for 0100 on the 9th? Two days from our pickup? On a little over a 1000 mile load? We can do that much in 24 hrs for pete's sake. They better let us relay this to an OC or there will be fussing...
As for after that, yesterday while at the Utah welcome center along I70 saw the cutest little long haired black and orange calico shading itself under the local flora. Of course it was feral and ran as soon as I got anywhere near.
Oh! Now that the net is back, I need to order a USB case for a SATA notebook drive so I can use the one I took out of the new laptop as an external. I did purchase one case already but it's only ATA, and has a different interface for the drive. Whoops. Gusse that case goes to Freegeek. While there though, I'll look for a power supply for the desktop my sister gave me, and see what size ATA drives they have. If I find one good enough, I'll keep the case and shove the bought one either into the case or the old laptop. Then that'll make two external drives. Whooha.
Yay verily. So much for that.
