This past week has been pretty lazy, I must admit. It's the post-con depression, I believe. But now I'm depressed because I have to leave tomorrow morning to go on a family vacation for the next six days. I'm not sure how well I'll get along with everyone, and it's keeping me from being able to get to a few important things. But whatever, I'll deal.
Anyways, since I'm not going to be seeing her for over a week, I spent the afternoon with Neelie today. We went to the park and fed some ducks and geese before chilling in the shade for a bit. Unfortunately, we then had errands to run for our parents and had to leave to do that elsewhere in the city.
We started off by stopping at an ATM to check my mom's card balance. But the ATM was out of service. So that didn't really happen. We browsed in a couple stores on the shops before moving along to Wal-Mart, where Neelie got some folders for school (my god that's only a month and a half away) and I ended up getting fabric to make my scarf for my Masaomi Kida (Durarara!!) cosplay. Now to just get a sewing machine so I can sew this scarf together.
We headed back to the shops, poked around in Gamestop and went to dinner at Friendly's. We ate off the kids' menu because we're cool like that, haha. And because I don't eat enough to get a full adult meal. We didn't even finish our kids meals, Neelie took a box home with her mac & cheese quesodillas and my waffle fries.
After that we had to go grocery shopping for her mother, then stop at CVS to get a little weekly pill box thing for my dog because she's old and needs a pill twice a day, and it's hard to keep track without leaving notes for everyone and stuff.
So then I had to drop her off at home and say goodbye before heading home myself to finish getting ready for vacation. I really wish I could make Masaomi's scarf quickly and wear it, but alas, Josh still has my sewing machine...
