Setting: Honda's house
Summary: Mokuba brings over lunch and a late bday gift to Honda's house.

Mokuba made sure he had both the present and the bag of food secure in his hands before he got out of the car and went up to Honda's door. After what seemed like forever of attempting to come over, the last thing he wanted was to drop everything. He knocked...and hoped that someone would actually be there to answer.

Watching from the window since he'd become aware of the car driving up, Honda bit back a snicker. So Mokuba had finally come over again, had he? Honda counted to ten, then casually opened the door and grinned at Mokuba. "So glad you decided to show up."

"So glad you decided to be here," Mokuba said back as he walked in. He held out the bag of food. "Mind taking this? I don't know if I can put down your present without spilling the soup."

"Soup?" Honda murmured, carefully taking the bag from Mokuba. "Not what I was expecting, but okay. Need bowls and spoons, or you got that covered too?"

"And sandwiches. But the soup is in individual bowls, and there should be some spoons in there. It's good, though. It's a newer place that opened up by my store and I tried it one day." Mokuba put down the gift on the table in the living room. "Of course they probably think I have an obsession with soup and sandwiches the amount of time I've been in there for carry out."

Turning around to look at Mokuba as he walked backwards into the kitchen, Honda snickered, "Well, do you?"

Mokuba rolled his eyes and followed him. "No, I don't. I was just wanting to bring that over for lunch, so I kept buying it and then coming over here to, well, no one. I'm surprised I'm not sick of them, actually."

Honda grinned even more. "Hmm, you say you're not obsessed... yet you picked the same thing over and over again to bring? Sounds a little obsessive to me. Of course, the not calling part, not so obsessive..."

"Yes, well, eventually I stopped buying food, and then I just stopped coming over. As for bringing the same thing, well, I really liked the food there. I thought I would share."

"Okay okay, enough with the excuses!" Honda tried and failed to smother a small laugh as he set the bag of food down on the table. "I was just teasing. Drinks?"

Mokuba took a seat. "Yeah, of course I want a drink. Something with alcohol." And he began taking out the food from the bag. It'd been torture having to smell the food all the way over, and he really didn't want to have to wait too much longer.

"I have beer. Beer has alcohol, that good enough for ya? Or does that break some high-class rule about what alcohol goes with what food?"

"I don't know if it breaks a rule, but I don't like beer. Remember?"

Honda sighed dramatically, "Can ya blame a guy for tryin' though? Fine, beer for me, something else for you."

"I guess if you've only got beer for alcohol, I'll have some juice."

"...You have any idea how easy it would be to just let you think that?" Honda shook his head and headed for the fridge to rearrange the contents. "No, some idiots thought they needed to broaden my taste experiences or something, got me tequila, scotch, some weird wine thing... I don't like, but maybe you would."

"I'll take the tequila or scotch, you can keep the wine. I wouldn't want to deny you the wine experience. And if you don't want to keep the scotch, well, I'm always here to take it off your hands."

Honda laughed and pulled out a couple of bottles. "Oh no, I definitely want the scotch, no clue what made that guy think I wasn't already plenty experienced with it. You can have some tequila and I'll find someone else to take the wine off my hands."

Mokuba sighed. "Fine, I'll take the tequila. You just made it sound like you weren't in to any of them."

"No, I was just listing off other stuff I've got right now." Honda set the bottle of tequila down in front of Mokuba and the beer at another seat, then sat down. "The wine's the only one I don't like, but maybe you can talk me into sharing some scotch later if you're really good."

"I'm always good. I even brought you lunch, like I said I would." Mokuba motioned out in front of them, where there were a couple bowls of vegetable soup and they each had a half of a chicken sandwich. "They make their bread fresh, too."

"Heh, can't have us eating stale bread, now can we. I'm sure it tastes as good as it looks... thanks."

"You're welcome," Mokuba said before digging in. And he was happy to find that the soup was still nice and warm. It was as good as he remember it.

Honda watched Mokuba for a few more moments, then dropped his gaze and started in on his meal too. He was mildly surprised to find it was even better than he'd been expecting, clearly he'd have to look for this restaurant the next time he had an excuse to be in the area of Mokuba's store.

Mokuba looked over at him. "Well, you're not spitting it out, that's a good sign. If you like it I can always pick some up and bring it to your work for lunch..."

"Still on about that idea, huh?" Honda chuckled. "Fine, suppose it can't hurt to think about it... unless you're worried they might start thinking even more that you're obsessed with their soup and sandwiches."

Mokuba nearly spit out his soup. Honda would think about it? Did he hear that right? Because he'd just assumed he'd be blown off yet again. "You're serious about thinking about it? Really?"

"Doesn't mean I'll agree to it, don't get too excited. I mean, seriously, what am I really getting out of it besides lunch brought to me once?"

"The pleasure of my company?"

"I can get that out of my office," Honda reminded him. "My house, your house, your office... well, if I visited you there, which I haven't."

"Well, what else would you want?"

"Dunno, haven't thought about it enough yet." Honda shrugged and went back to the meal.

Mokuba ate some soup before looking up at him again. "I could bring you lunch twice."

"Why would you bother?" Honda asked immediately. "I figured once you've had your question of where I work answered, you'd be on to the next question of life to bother me about. Unless you just think you'll need more than one visit to investigate my office enough for your curiosity."

"That may be true. Obviously I wouldn't know since I haven't seen your workplace. I'm not even sure if I have another big life question to ask you."

"There's always another question to ask," Honda replied with certainty. "That's just how people are."

"So do you have any big questions for me?" Mokuba asked before taking a big bite of his sandwich.

"Of course. Don't think I'll be asking them right now though, not sure I'd like what the answers might be."

Mokuba frowned. "But now I'm curious."

Honda smiled. "And I think I like it that way. Was there something you were hoping I'd ask, give you a chance to boast about?"

"I actually don't know what you'd ask, or what I'd want you too. But it must be something good if you think you won't like what I say. Er, well, you know what I mean by good."

Leaning back, Honda smiled more. "Yeah, I do... and yeah, in that sense of good, it probably is. Maybe I'll ask eventually, if I don't get the answers on my own. Don't try to hold me to anything though, you should know better by now."

"You could at least ask me one to give me something for my curiousity," Mokuba mumbled before eating the last little bit of his soup left.

"But I already said, I think I like you being curious," Honda teased. "You could ask me more questions... unless you had a different sort of fun in mind for today?"

"I can still be curious after one question. In fact I'd probably be even more curious. As for anything else, well, we'll see. I suppose I may have a question later for you."

"But not right now?" Honda mock-pouted, then decided after a moment he probably couldn't pull off the look anyways. "Too bad. How are Turtle and Key by the way? I'm sure I won't mind the answer to that."

Mokuba had to laugh at that question. "Well, they're doing quite fine. Turtle was especially upset I was gone for so long. Key kinda was, too, but I think he liked being by himself some. I might make a new outfit for Turtle to make it up to him."

"Will Key get jealous about Turtle getting a new outfit and not him? Or does he not mind much that sort of thing?"

"I don't think he'll mind, but I think I'll give Turtle his outfit without Key in the room."

"Ah, of course." Honda nodded and got up to clear the table, since it looked like they both were done with the meal now. "Guessing the outfits I made don't get worn anymore, huh? Since it's been all this time and all."

"No, he still wears them sometimes," Mokuba said, leaning back to watch the cleaning. "There's just more outfits that I've made so of course he wears mine more."

"...Ah, of course," Honda murmured, not sure why he was as surprised by that as he was. "Either of them due for a room reorganization? Or is reorganzing not something you do much at your place, closets aside?"

"Well, I guess I haven't done that in a while, so maybe I should change things up. Actually, now that you mentioned it, I should probably reorganize my closet again, too."

"And here I was thinking that was like a monthly event for you or something." Honda wandered back to the table, leaning against it instead of sitting down again. "Gonna hurry home and do that right now?"

Mokuba smiled. "No, don't worry, I'll hang out with you a little longer. Besides, I still have your birthday gift to give."

Grinning, Honda leaned over to him. "So you do. Shall I open it now, then see what sort of fun we feel like making?"

"I could go for that idea." Mokuba stood up and motioned for Honda to follow him to the living room. He pushed the gift to the edge of table before taking a seat on the couch. Huh, it'd been a while since he'd sat here. "You better like your gift, too. It was expensive...and it's just awkward when a gift doesn't work out.

Honda snickered and plopped down on the couch next to Mokuba. He thought about wrapping an arm around Mokuba while he was at it, but decided it was better to leave that til after the gift was opened. And, speaking of which... Honda picked up the gift and looked it over for a couple of moments before opening it. Jaw dropping a little, he slowly pulled out the leather jacket, glancing over to Mokuba then quickly back to the jacket. "...Whoa, weren't kidding about the expensive, huh?" he murmured.

Mokuba broke into a big smile now that he knew Honda liked it. "Well, yeah. I figured I should get something nicer than I had planned since you helped get me out of jail, in a way, and tried to actually get me out earlier. So Happy Late Birthday."

Glancing to Mokuba again, Honda couldn't help smiling back just as broadly. "Thanks! Heh, I'd better start thinking hard about what to get for your birthday, right?"

"You could start. You can even get me little gifts throught the year to get me ready for my gift." Mokuba moved the box to the table. "So try it on."

"Heh, you would try to angle for more gifts," Honda replied, shaking his head slightly as he stood up to try on the jacket.

"Can't hurt a guy from trying, though I hope you'll seriously think about it." And, Mokuba had to congratulate himself, it looked like he picked out the right size. He reached out and grabbed onto the front of the jacket. "I think I did good."

"Oh yeah, you definitely did good," Honda leaned down to purr into Mokuba's ear.

Mokuba gave the jacket a little tug. He couldn't help but admire how nice the leather looked. It was nicely cut, perfect stitching. He almost hated to admit it, but the company that made it was a damn good one. And it fit Honda perfectly.

"Planning to just admire my good looks for awhile?" Honda teased, increasing the distance from his mouth to Mokuba's ear only slightly. "Totally cool with me."

"I'm admiring the jacket, you just happen to be in it."

"You should have had plenty of time to do that before you brought it over. Or do I need to take it off and give you two some... alone time again?" Honda smirked.

Mokuba rolled his eyes. "It's different when it's on someone. And...well, I wouldn't object to wearing the jacket, but I'd allow you to hang around. I know you'd like it that way."

"I'm half surprised you didn't buy one in your size when you got this one," Honda replied, reluctantly stepping back so he could remove the jacket. "Is there some secret thrill to putting on one that's totally not your size?"

Mokuba hopped up to more easily put on the jacket. "I might get one, but not this cut. I wouldn't want to have the same exact jacket. As for putting on an oversize jacket...there's no thrill, but sometimes it is kinda funny. Makes me feel extra thin."

"Well duh, of course not the same exact jacket," Honda said, exaggeratedly rolling his eyes at the idea. "And you are thin. Kinda short too."

"Hey!" Mokuba said, pushing Honda. "I'm not that short."

Honda laughed and put an arm around Mokuba's shoulders, pulling him closer so he could rest his head on Mokuba's. "I'm just too tall, is that it?"

"I wouldn't disagree with that. You have to admit, I've grown taller over the years. I just don't need to become some giant like you."

"'s not like I tried to become a giant," Honda muttered against Mokuba's hair. "But yeah, I guess you have grown some after all these years..."

Mokuba grabbed Honda's hand and gave it a little squeeze. "Aww, don't feel bad. I don't mind you being a giant."

Honda chuckled and squeezed back. "Heh, glad the other clothing companies don't mind either, or I'd have nothing good to wear, right?"

"I don't know if it'd be so bad if you had nothing to wear."

"What, you'd expect me to work and clean and visit you naked?" Honda had to work hard to resist the urge to lean down and nip Mokuba's ear at that moment, settling instead for letting his free hand skim down Mokuba's back to his waist. "That might work for once I get to your place, but the trip over there not so much."

"Why not? You could wrap a towel around you while you run to the car. Or just use your hands," Mokuba brought up the hand he was holding and kissed the back of it, "for a bit of coverage. Or don't worry about it. I do kinda like the idea of you showing up naked, though."

"Not sure the police would be very nice about it though, especially if I tried walking part of the way. Plus, if I did that, you might have to compete with strangers on the streets wanting to stop me for some time to admire me, y'kno?"

"I have complete confidence that I would win over some random stranger on the street. Though I did mention driving."

"Well of course you'd win, but it'd still take time to get past all those potential admirers. As for the driving naked thing... how much time have you actually spent with your naked skin against seats in a car?"

Mokuba had to think about that. "Well, actually, I have to admit not often. I've been spending most of my naked time indoors, like a house or store or a club. Ocassionally an alleyway."

"Not sure I needed to know that," Honda muttered half to himself. "My point being," he continued at a normal level, "while getting naked for sex in your limo is great, sitting in one place for awhile ain't so much. And you wouldn't want to risk my car's seats getting stuck to me or leaving weird lines on my ass, right?"

"Not unless I get to take pictures," Mokuba said, laughing. "Okay, okay, you can drive over with clothes on and then take them off when you're on my property. Oh...hey, what if I did that at your work? Would you tell me where you work then?"

"...Only if I wanted everyone I work with teasing me about having a pervy boyfriend or something," Honda replied, trying very hard not to start laughing at the idea. As it was he felt the need to reposition his head against Mokuba's so the other couldn't see him smirking.

Mokuba poked him in the side with his elbow. "I bet they'd like it. And you could clear up the rumors when I leave. But if it's such a big deal I could be a movie cliche and wear a trenchcoat until you closed your door. If you have a door."

"Damn, and here I was thinking to surprise you with that cliche if I still remember come fall again." This time Honda didn't resist the urge to nip Mokuba's ear, only fair for getting elbowed.

"Someone's getting fiesty. I'll just have to see you in something different then."

"Heh, I'll see what I can manage to come up with. But for right now... planning to move on anytime soon from talking about getting naked?"

"Maybe. I should probably give you back your jacket. And maybe we could just get naked now, you know, for practice."

Honda laughed and released his loose hold on Mokuba. "Sounds like the kind of fun I'm talking about."
