Head bobbing to techno
This morning started rather unpleasantly. Last night I went out with a new lesbian friend of mine to a bar downtown. I started the evening enthusiastically by chugging a beer at Ian's house and scarfing down some Chick-fil-a on the way in anticipation of spending an evening away from home, indulging in vapid conversation and shooting darts. Twasn't bad until the pool of warm beer in my stomach was no longer greeted by all the other organs as eagerly and was forced to leave in some parking lot on highway 50. I tried to make it home but the overwhelmingly awful sensation to throw up all my innards struck too soon and now a presumably dry area of pseudo-digested beer and waffle fries lay on a bed of mulch and weeds. This morning I awoke to the room spinning and the urge to puke stronger than the night before. I tried to quell it with a glass of grape juice but ended up projectile vomiting that too. I'm still recovering.
Life hasn't been great or awful lately, just hovering somewhere in the middle. Granted middle ground is usually boring and my life these days is no exception, I find ways to create excitement and drama, as well as reasons to dwell on my mediocre existence. Luckily I've forced myself to work as much as possible and that has prevented a lot woeful evenings save the occasional Saturday night I find myself watching Polish TV while shoving snacks down my throat with my mother. It appears I'm going to miss fall this year, really the only season worth living through up north. I did buy a ticket to Boston in a couple of weeks so hopefully I will get my fill of a real city and the crisp autumn air I long for. I've matured a little this year resulting in me being more "adult" than ever and actually thinking about my future mailing address as well as taking school a bit more seriously. Who knows, maybe my dream to live in New York or Boston will come to pass? In the meantime I'll be shooting darts whilst daydreaming of dancing all night and riding subways at dawn.
