Apart from the fact the plot didn't make any sense (seriously... no one was looking at the Statue of Liberty? And then no one heard the huge big thumping steps and looked out of their window? Whatever.) I didn't mind how the Ponds went.

It was Matt Smiths face that broke my heart though.

And I'm going to miss Rory.

I thought I would cry. I did not. That says something about my reaction to this series/these characters/this showrunner, but I'm not gonna delve too deeply into it. It should also say something that I literally RAN home to download each DW episode the moment it showed up online and watched it right away and talked about it and looked up commentary on it... and I haven't done that since halfway through the last series. Again, it's saying something, but I'm choosing to ignore what it says.

I thought it was lovely. Plot holes galore, not huge on the sense-making, but it's DW, so I give it a pass.

I am ready for Oswin. And I truly hope that we get to see more of River.

Remember when Melody Pond was the little girl (or at least we assume it's her) regenerating in New York from last series? I'm just trying to see if it works within the rationale of River 'letting Amy go'.
