Chapter proposal for the scholarly examination of the Resident Evil series has been written, proofed, re-written, and SENT OUT. And in case you were wondering, this is my research thesis:
I will be discussing the many ways the Umbrella Corporation in the Resident Evil films abused their medical knowledge through illegal and irresponsible genetic experimentation with viral weaponry, cloning, and mutation. Focusing specifically on their efforts with “Project Alice”, I will draw allusions to the real world work of scientists in Nazi Germany, particularly Josef Mengele and his experiments on twins. I will also touch upon the fine philosophical line between creating supermen and monsters, another strong parallel between Umbrella and Nazi Germany.
Maintenance dude FINALLY came by this morning and fixed the leak in the bathtub. Now we're just waiting on the screens for the sliding door and windows.
Repainted my nails to disastrous effect. Perhaps the rainy weather today just made it impossible for them to dry properly.
Now that my massive MUST DO list has been conquered, I just have to tackle the smaller, less serious items on the list: catching up on comments and RP tags and TV (Justified, Korra, OUAT, Castle) and work on Faerietale and The Lito. It's nice to have the big stuff done with though, so it's no longer hanging over me and threatening to smother me to death.
