My inability to finish what I start has finally reached critical levels. I have eleven unfinished pieces of fiction sitting on my computer now. ELEVEN. WHAT THE FUCK. And more than half of these are supposed to be short fics or original stories or mythfics that should logically only take me a day or two of solid work to finish. A handful of hours at most.

HOW DO YOU BRAIN? HOW DO YOU ANYTHING?

So when I said I was nearly done with my transformation into Bernard L. Black, I didn't realize this was going to be part of that. Ughhhhh. *headdesks into eternity*

In less self-pitying news, I was a busy-ass mofo today and GOT SHIT DONE. LIKE A BOSS.

• Up by 6.
• Work 7 - noon.
• Back to Eureka to take Project 365 photo;
• Feed cat;
• Clean house;
• Pack my shit;
• Take out trash;
• Do dishes.
• Post office (corellianjedi: I finally mailed your package, last two days were insane, SORRY).
• Library to renew/pick up books and chat with the ladies.
• Home where I unpacked;
• Did three loads of laundry;
• Made bed with fresh sheets.
• Back to Eureka to give Kati back her key and get my money ($250! WHOOT!).
• Stop at Tolivers' to check on KK.
• Chinese restaurant for dinner.
• Home and bath.
• AND HERE WE ARE AT LAST.

HOLY HELL JUST LOOK AT ALL THAT SHIT I DID. So much running around and cleaning. Phew.

But at least yesterday was marvelous enough to make up for all of that. Actually, yesterday was probably the best day in total that I've had in quite some time. After work, I met up with Brittany and Ashlee at Red Lobster for Brittany's birthday (since she works there, she gets a 25% discount). Delicious food, delicious company, and extremely delicious Berry Mango Daiquiris. YUM. Immediately following that I headed over to the good old Willow Knolls to meet Sarah for Sherlock Homos: A Game of Spooning. It was almost better the second time around (as was the case with the first installment) because I could better follow the plot and catch all of the hints and nuances. Also: BOYFRIENDS. And Sarah's reactions were P R I C E L E S S. At the ball scene, she literally said, "SHUT. UP." really loudly. Also we both said "PARKOUR!" during the Cossack scenes. We're too funny.

Then I went back to Chez Doremus where we were joined by Luke and Josh "The K.O. King" Marshall. Sarah proceeded to stab herself pretty badly in the hand whilst trying to open a bottle of cilantro with a knife (don't ask). After that cause for concern and once the bleeding had stopped, we had tacos for dinner. YUM. Sarah and I got our fangirl on while the boys talked, then we all ate ice cream with HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM that Sarah made one-handed (what a trooper!) and we proceeded to have one of the most hilarious "That's what she said!"-laden convos I've ever had. Josh and Luke went to karate so Sarah and I started a Joel-era MST3K while we dicked around on our computers and did some knitting.

ALL IN ALL, GLORIOUS OUTING.

My Justified torrent of s1&s2 is now at 49% (BLESS YOU, CARINA). I really need to get another external harddrive for all of my shows. The Internet continues to be at war and is scaring the fuck out of me. Hey, politicos worldwide! Don't we have bigger issues to worry about? Like clean water and food for everyone and stopping genocides and tyrants? WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU EXPENDING THIS MUCH ENERGY ON PIRACY ISSUES WHEN THERE ARE STILL ACTUAL PIRATES TERRORIZING PEOPLE. BAH.

Also Anonymous is legit terrifying at this point. Oh God.

Oh, and in further disheartening news: according to soundbites from the National Television Awards, Matt Smith has announced his final year as the Doctor. Apparently s7 and s8 may be shot back to back, and there will be a new Doctor by the 50th anniversary in 2013. WAAAAAH. As Meisje has said, Where is New!Who's Tom Baker? An actor dedicated enough to the role to stick around for more than three seasons? And as Julie pointed out, having the Doctor regenerate so much make him feel too transitory and slightly frivolous. I JUST WANT THE SAME DOCTOR FOR MORE THAN THREE FULL SEASONS, OKAY? PLEASE.

Semi-related: Katie is coming over again tomorrow for Round 2 in our DW marathoning. Hoping to finish (we may not get QUITE to Bad Wolf, but I'll try) s1. I'm just glad she's still interested! YAY! A NEW CONVERT TO THE FOLD!

This weekend I need to write like a mofo and try to finish something before I develop a total complex and have a mental break from reality. And also sleep a lot and try to relax because my feet are hurting like a bitch and I could stand some down time right now. Baaah.
