*mad cackling of sheer delight*

Oh my word. I discovered an old document I had saved back in my New Zealand days. This is an exchange my Welsh friend Elen and I had while we were watching the Branagh adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing:

“I think he stole my toy truck! I’m sad! Wah!”
“I love my new toy truck! Yay!”
“My toy truck’s box was open! Somebody’s already played with my truck!”
“My truck was good and I broke it! I’m sorry!”
“Since you broke your truck, you can have a boat instead.”
“Oh my god, my truck! It’s all shiny and red!”

“Seriously, just put a red bow on her and give her to him on a silver platter!”

I hope you can tell that Hero = the toy truck. ZOMG, I think we may have been slightly drunk that night. This just cracked me up -- so glad I saved this bit of tomfoolery! X^D

(But yeah, I really detest Claudio and can't really care much about Hero (though I appreciated the changes to the story's end in the Shakespeare Retold version with Billie). How can anyone watch/read that play and give two figs about them when you've got Benedick and Beatrice being fierce and flawless? YES. I need the Tennant/Tate production sooooo badly it's almost painful. And I need to own the Branagh adaptation, too, WHY DOES EVERYTHING COST MONEY?)

brb loling forever, shakespeare gotta get paid son, quotes
