I DID IT. At least there's one thing to feel accomplished over. I had a pretty damn solid month in terms of movies -- obviously, but a lot of those were brand new experiences. I count... 12 films I'd never seen before. That's pretty damn good for me, especially in the course of a single month. I definitely feel more informed about horror; after I watched every movie I would go and read everything on its IMDB page. I really love knowing the back story and anecdotes that accompany each film, you know? I was curious, and did a quick word count for all of the new reviews I wrote this month, too (I wrote 20 new reviews) and it was over 20,000 words! That's almost half of a NaNoWriMo, and all in movie reviews! I'm sort of pleased as punch over that, as ridiculous as it sounds.
Anyway, at least I managed to finish something I started, which is certainly a rare occurrence for me. Here's hoping I can actually muster the energy and resolve to make this year's NaNoWriMo another feather in my cap. After this past weekend's stresses and emotional rollercoastering, I'm seriously doubting my abilities this year. *le sigh*
