IT Professional at KlingStubbins

We are looking for a person to directly report to the IT Director and help out with day to day desktop issues and server support. This is a good opportunity for someone in the IT industry to interact with all facets of the computer world in a creative architectural environment. Self motivation, enthusiasm and customer support is a must to the candidate’s success. Below are some of the common day to day tasks (there are many more) that the candidate must have an interest in or be willing to learn.

Desktop support

1. Teaching End Users how to help themselves
2. Ghosting and reimaging PC and laptops
3. Rolling out PC and laptops to end users
4. Troubleshooting PC hardware and software problems
5. Keeping end users desktops up to date with the latest software
6. Workstation Moves

Server Support

1. Changing backup tapes
2. Creating\removing accounts on the domain
3. Active Directory\DNS
4. Exchange Server 2003

Server Software - Wink2k3, Exchange Server, Newforma, Backup Exec, Symantec Corp Ed,

Networking Support
1. Switches
2. Routers
3. Firewalls
4. WAN Accelerators
5. ISP Issues

Video\Audio\Telephone Support
1. Testing\Preparing Video Conference meetings
2. Testing\Preparing Projectors
3. Testing\Preparing Phones

Researching
1. Researching future projects\initiatives and any IT problems along the way
This person must be a quick learner and self motivated to see a problem from start until the end. Self motivation is a must because there are limited IT people in the office.
