Looks like a bunch of great gifts! (YAY for the WaS DVD!) Your shelf is cool, too; I really need to get something to display my Johnnys stuff because I've been shelling out money and expanding my collection lately.

Unfff Yukio~ I haven't watched the other two dramas yet, but I have "Mukudono" downloaded and waiting to be watched soon. And speaking of dramas, I LOVED "Star no Koi"! It was kind of cheesy sometimes, but I loved it a lot. I'm a sucker for stories like that. :3 I need to watch more non-Kimura SMAP dramas too, though, lol.

And I'll toss in another ♥ for the SMAP con DVD because it was fantastic. x3

I was sooo happy that my mom agreed to buying me the DVD for Christmas ♥
Cool, I guess you must have a lot of merchandise after the sudden CD-increase this Christmas ^_^ Sadly I don't own that much from SMAP yet u.u

In fact I only started Star no Koi after I read you commenting about it in your (?) last entry I think LOL
I thought about watching it some time ago, but forgot again XD Until now, I really like it - I'm a fan of these types of drama in general, where the main character is more on the dense side >_<

The SMAP DVD cannot be fangirled over enough ♥

Oh, and about Mukodono, I loved Tomoya in that role - especially in the 1st season (although the 2nd is also really funny, if you are really knowledgable about Japanese TV and TV personalities ^^)
I can only recommend you to watch it ♥

I'll be sure to move it up in priority on my list of things to watch, then. :D Is the second one subbed? I think I only have the first one downloaded.

Yup, the 2nd one is also subbed, but you should notice that it's set in some sort if AU, where the things in the 1st season never happened...o.O
It's really strange, but inventive - for example, some scenes were aired LIVE when it was first shown on TV (e.g. when Yuichiro appeared in a crowd before the TV studio all superstar like), and in one scene Sanma had a guest appearance (I laughed soo hard then XD)

But story-wise I think the 1st is much better - and somehow I like Takeuchi Yuko as the female lead actor more than the one in the 2nd season...

Lol, weird...but SANMAAA, I love Sanma. xD And Yuko. I'll definitely check them out. :3

That's definitely awesome. ♥ Such a wonderful present~
It's grown a lot in the past few months; it started with the release of the "We are SMAP!" album and hasn't really stopped completely since then. I own mostly SMAP now, and then some Arashi and Ikuta Toma stuff.

LOL awesome! I thought it was just a coincidence, but I'm glad I reminded you, then! xD It's such a cute drama to watch when you just want to be entertained without thinking too hard, and the denseness is definitely endearing, haha. And then idol(or royalty or whatever equivalent)/commoner plots make me happy.

Truuue story. ♥ I haven't watched the whole thing all the way through again, but I want to soon. It's just even better on my TV screen than it is on the computer screen~

I mostly own Kanjani (I've got every Album and most singles as well as every DVD but the first one I think) because when I went to Japan, I was mainly a Kanjani fan and didn't really now about SMAP yet...(I was soo blind u.u)
Only when I returned I became aware of the Sempais *.*
Other than that, I also have quite a lot of KinKi & TOKIO merch ^^ From Arashi I only have the Best of album >_<

Yay, I totally agree ♥ Lately I've watched too much depressing stuff - so a lighter drama was what I really needed ^^

When I got my DVD on Christmas Eve, I waited until my family went to sleep and watched the whole concert in one go in the living room (because there we have the biggest TV sreen XD)

I was super super into Arashi at first, then super super into Toma, but back then, I didn't really buy stuff yet. It was only as I was transitioning from Toma into SMAP that I started buying things, so SMAP got the lucky break. xD For Arashi, I have the 5x10 ALL THE BEST album, the LE Hatenai Sora single, the 2006 AAA photobook, the HanaDan movie photobook, the RE Believe single, the AAA 2008 concert, and the 5x10 concert. For Toma, I have some old junior photobooks and the Ningen Shikkaku movie photobook. Then for SMAP...I have a lot more than the other two, lol. That's awesome, though, having all the albums/DVDs/most singles for K8. :D I don't have anything outside of SMAP/Arashi/Toma, except for a stack of idol magazines that have multiple JE groups. :< But the SMAP stuff makes me happiest, so that's where my money mostly pours now ( ... )

It's funny that so many people in the SMAP fandom initially were mainly Arashi fans, as my very first JE group was TOKIO - because I looove Tomoya (since I watched My Boss My Hero) ♥ although the first Johnny I knew about was Toma in Hana Kimi I think ( ... )

My best friend is a huge Arashi fan, so she was the one to tug me into Arashi/JE fandom about two years ago. ^^ Then I fell for Toma after Maou (and HanaKimi, which I watched around the same time), then SMAP stole my heart with a combination of things about one year ago. I love pretty much all of JE, but I def have to prioritize -- I am lacking in the time and money to love them all equally, lol. ;) Hopefully I'll have a job soon, which will help.

I have a small, oldish TV in my bedroom, but I usually just watch on my laptop if not on the big TV. People just don't understaaaand.

I didn't know anyone in this fandom until I found it myself (or rather together with monstakarotte ^_^°)

First I also was more of a drama-fan, just when I found a youtube video of the Countdown while looking for TOKIO-related stuff, I discovered that most of my favourite actors belonged to the same agency. I learned about Johnny's and quickly became a fan _(*.*)_

Money is also a problem with me, atm I try looking for a parttime student-job or something, but I fear before the start of the new semester I cannot put this plan into action *sigh*

How fun. :3 At least you still had someone to enter with. ^^ Very neat, though; I'm always curious about how other overseas fans got into fandom~ My friend found Nino through "Letters to Iwo Jima" -- if it weren't for that, she (and even moreso I) would have never found JE (because there's no other way to find them unless you seek them out -- not even anime conventions here have any Johnnys stuff). :o We MIGHT have found it because we used to watch this Korean drama, "Winter Sonata", on the AZN Channel my family had at the time (which never aired jdramas), and then the kdrama "My Lovely Sam-Soon"...but really, we probably would have just ended up in K-Pop fandom instead. I'm happy it turned out the way it did, though. ♥

I feel your pain. :( It's such an expensive hobby to have, and jobs can be hard to find. I wish you good luck in your parttime job-search. I'm looking for one, too, to get some experience in between undergrad and grad school, eek.
