Peter Murphy

The Peter Murphy show was more a less a realization of the human aging process.

Watching the show I thought back to the first time I saw Mr. Murphy in Gainesville FL with The Church for Love Hysteria. Then with NIN opening for the Deep tour in Orlando @ The Bechum Theater, yea there was a time that Trent opened for him. My Mom took me to those shows because I was not old enough to drive at the time. Then the other shows for Holy Smoke at The Edge in Orlando and then Cascade at the same venue.

I did enjoy the show last night. The set list had some of my fav's (Crystal Wrists, Fall With your Knife, Deep Ocean Vast Sea) and a couple cool Bauhaus surprises... I'll leave those out as not to spoil anything for anyone who might see him on the tour. I think the signs of age shown most in not only his appearance but his lack of energy onstage. His vocals are still amazing but what I missed most were the patented shoulder moves and spinning a Peter Murphy performance is known for. He just seemed to be onstage rather than completely owning the stage and making it his as he always has in the past.

Still a fun show and a cool night. Courtney and I went with my Mom and Dad who are both crazy Peter Murphy-Bauhaus fans...
