This week, my employer has apparently installed some type of internet filter, and based on the sites that are blocked and the ones that are allowed, it seems like they're blocking anything that potentially could have nudity. The sites that I can't access include: Flickr (reasons given: online storage, nudity), MySpace (no reason given), and Live Journal (social networking, nudity - although Blogspot comes through fine). I can still get to a lot of other Web sites, like my e-mail, sports, music, and news sites, but occasionally something that seems pretty innocuous (like
Natalie Dee) gets blocked. Granted, I shouldn't be spending a lot of time surfing the Web while I'm getting paid to work, but the fact that I can't check out these sites at all just kind of rubs me the wrong way.
