Taking Stock

After an emotional Finals Week, I am on Summer Vacation!!!  After writing an eight blue-book page essay on the rise and fall of reason from the 18th through 20th centuries, I concluded my Spring semester last Thursday.  I found out today, I received straight A's.  That night, I had a rousing good time at Neo with tugena13  and her crew.  Friday, went to Bloomington with deadboxoffice , Elyse, Ryan, and Jennifer to a party at ancientwisdom  and kitsune_den 's new house (congratulations!).  Instead of going back to Indianapolis to a hotel room floor (no hotels open in Bloomington, it was graduation weekend), I decided to take my chances in town.  I went on quite the bender with divebomber  and her Laporte, Muncie, and Bloomington people.  Don't remember much, the night is just a highlight reel in my head now.  I remember a near conflict outside of Video Saloon, but I think I de-escalated it, I think I smoked a cigarette (but that may have been at the first house party).  One of the parties we ended up at seemed very densely gay, and I remember hitting on a guy with an awesome nose.  One place had a Big Lebowski poster, and I'm sure I bored someone to tears talking about what a great movie it is.  There was a game that involved flipping plastic cups to make them land rightside up, and finally, divebomber  and I caught up and compared notes on our situations in life (Good luck, and feel free to call anytime.)  One bar, four parties, and a crash space (thanks for the couch, Josh), and I passed the F--- out.  Special thanks go to Jaymen (sp?)  for driving our drunk asses around all night.  The next morning, woke up early and decided to wander Bloomington alone.  I got sunburned.  Caught back up with my peeps, and then hit one more party; congatulations to Jen, Amber, and Mike!  Anyway, this is a good place and time to review my situation in life.  If interested, read on...

Where to start?  Hmm...  here goes.

Living Situation:  After a year and a half, I am moving out of Super House.  It had been a posibility for a while, but my financial situation and my brother cemented it.  I haven't lived with my mom since middle school, but I'll be living in her basement next week.  (Despite how awesome it would be to run my DnD game with all my pushing 30 friends in my mom's basement, my brother says it is out of the question.)  Hopefully, this turn of events will be very temporary, my brother and I would like to buy a house this Summer or Fall.  This is very contingent on my job situation.

Job Situation:  It's been two months since I've passed all my tests and been "pre" trained for supervisor training at UPS.  Next week, I should get an answer on if a class will be available on my shift in June.  If so, horray!   If not, I'll either have to wait another month (or more?) or contemplate very seriously changing to the night shift (9PM to 4AM  absolutely social life killing).

School Situation:  With the completion of Spring semester, I have three more to go.  Just picked up a German minor to keep the Communications one company, and now I set forth to conquer many Sociology classes.

Creative Situation:

Music-  The Mentals (protopunk/glam inspired band I play bass in):  all systems go, we should have a seven track EP soon!

Ghoul Brigaide (zombie rap trio my alter ego K-Trick is part of):  Hiatus continues until after   little_mousie  is done with all his cartoon prep for Rocky Con in Vegas (which I very saddly cannot attend due to my unfortunate financial situation.

Movies-  Dead at the Box Office (zombie B-movie homage I developed with  deadboxoffice  and Ryan):  slowly but surely- actually, the pace is picking up!

Mat with One T (working title for a documentary about our friend Mat and the conditions of sex, drugs, and rock and roll in Northwest Indiana  deadboxoffice  and I are doing):  No time constraints here, hours of interviews with Mat, started doing interviews with others Monday, and will soon start researching.

As Yet Untitled New Project:  Suspense/action/drama with aspects of horror/survival we at Throbbing Temple are planning.  Preproduction scheduled for Summer, shooting in fall.  Don't want to give too much away, but it involves Gary, the military, and a conspiracy!

Well, that's all I can think of now!  If anyone has any questions or comments, you know what to do!
