Just watched the new Star Trek trailer...
Damn... that was impressive.
I was allready on board for the reboot... since to make the Star Trek franchise better... instead of doing another Next Generation spinoff - they went with rebooting the Original Series - instead of fucking with it (like they did with Enterprise) ... this new trailer got me all choked up.
From the dramatic choice of music in the back ground to the quote about Captain Kirk .... "Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved eight hundred lives. I dare you to do better." That one bit, right there, manages to tell us so much about why Kirk is Kirk. And the way Kirk takes command of the Enterprise in the trailer... oh man.
I cannot wait for May 8th.
