ahhhh, I like your rendition of the homestuck kids, it captures their look pretty well esp when the source is so limited. I've been trying to make my way through it for ages now because, well, the whole thing is reminiscent of the sort of games I liked to play on the computer when I was little (maniac mansion, kings quest, etc) while also making fun of them at the same time...but I keep having to save and come back after I forget about it for days at a time, I've only just gotten into act 3. I also was way too amused when I just saw that BRO has kamina glasses.
I was wondering if you read it or not, it seems like something you'd like. But yeah it's like, a lot to take in. I marathon-caught-up over like 4 days, of course now I have to wait and that makes me sad, but thats like every other comic I read now :( The further you get into it the better it gets. Ha ha ha I was thinking about who each of my friends would cosplay and I decided you'd want to be Bro even tho I'd want you to be Tavros XD
yeah, I'm gonna sit down and marathon some of it soon, but it's...yeah, it's a lot to take in, it's really quirky and random and the POV shifts around so much and it's just, well, at least at this point there is so much "learning" that you can't rush it, on top of it being semi-interactive.
haha well idk I mean other than the kamina glasses Bro seems pretty generic, and I actually dislike creepy puppets so idk. I'm waiting for the trolls to come in tho, I've been interested in seeing what kind of characters they would have since the first time I saw images of them. who would you do? kanaya? rose?
Well the Kamina glasses ARE Kamina glasses so doesn't that kinda make him a weeaboo too? Ha ha ha. Bro gets some coolguy time, you just gotta get further. Also I've said this to a couple people when I recc HS to people but it's really a LOT like how Reborn was "Okay but I don't see why everyone loves this so much" until Mukuro showed up and then it was like "Oh man! I get it now!" To me that's the same as when the trolls show up in HS, the characters all get really awesome. I'd say the story does too but it's really more about the characters in the long run I think

yeah getting through the beginning of reborn was truly a labor of trust in the ass-ton of friends who kept telling me to keep at it it would get good soon.
also, it's funny, "webcomic" really fails to sum up what HS is....it's honestly some kind of like...interactive story. not quite a game since it's completely linear (unless it allows branching or story-changing decision-making later on), but it reminds me a lot of the "DIGITAL COMIC BOOK STYLE ACTION FANTASY STORY" that you could get on the computer back in the 80s...well, if you were a dork, I guess.
that or I guess a VN, honestly.
not nitpicking or anything, I'm actually just intrigued that someone has taken the webcomic idea and gone in a new direction. I can't think of anything else like this that I've messed with any time recently.
and now I am kind of imagining lots of sweaty weeaboos in silky ninja shirts with kamina glasses on and waving around bokken or fake katana, being all "YES!~ IT'S LIKE HE WAS MADE FOR ME TO DRESS UP AS" at cons this summer DX
