EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING
Yesterday: Watched Wasabi, to which I give a big HUZZAH. Luc Besson was not the director, as he was in The Fifth Element, but you could still see his influence as he was producer and writer. 5th is constantly vying for favorite movie space with Donnie Darko and it only depends on my mood which one is top, and now Wasabi is up there. Flawed? Sure. The guy had a love affair with a Japanese woman, in Japan, but knows not a single word of Japanese? And are so many Japanese citizens fluent in French? Perhaps, but it would be surprising to me. Still, Luc Besson + kawaii Japanese girl + arcade scenes with Gelly-style gunning = GOODTIMES.
Tonight: Played XBox for the first time. Hours of KUNG FU CHAOS (FUCK YEAH). Horribly cheesy producer guy making cheap kung fu movies so your characters are actors and the better you fight the more stars the movie is rated and I was kicking ass in it until my hands and wrists hurt. YAY. Also watched the John playing Devil May Cry II which looked rockin' but I never touched the controls, so. We were going to do Silent Hill II but the XBox owner got to snoozing then kicked us out.
