Poem of Cleansing

Jul 27, 2002 15:32

I kneel in a place without time nor space
And quietly comtemplate me;
Without a sound, my knees on the ground,
I know that I have to be free.

I have been blessed, but reach in my chest
To take the light sheltering there;
With a bow of my head and heart made of lead
I bring it out into the air.

This beautiful light is glowing so bright
Yet I know it's not mine to keep;
But maybe--but no; I let it go
To find its most comfortable sleep.

I smile as I stand and shake off the sand
Immersed in my newfound peace;
A reverant nod and I leave this sod
To fly away free with the geese.

(YES LAST LINE SUCKS BUT I HAVE TO LEAVE FOR WORK NOW. BITE ME)
