Egads, it took a long time to get my desktop set up, and I don't like LJing on my laptop, so um, hey how you doing? Long time no see.
New Hampshire is great, the baby is doing great (37 weeks! Holy crap!) and Penny is (mostly) sleeping through the night or nearly so. Life is good, yes?
Wait, 37 weeks? YES. That means my home birth is a go if nothing else gets too wonky. Let me tell you world I am all swoled up like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man but there's no protein in my urine nor do I have high blood pressure, so it doesn't seem to be pre-eclampsia. But I wake up and it's hard to see either my ankles or the wrinkles over my finger knuckles, and the carpal tunnel is annoying as hell, but at least there's a only a few weeks left give or take before it will start to resolve itself.
Penny has her first well child check in NH today. We picked a family practice doctor this time around so we could all go to the same guy, a bonus when you live in the boondocks like we now do. He's just in the next town over so we don't have to drive into Keene, the nearest "big city", with its traffic and low speed limits and rapscallions and loud hippity hop music and pull up your pants sonny oh god I'm old.
