(no subject)
If Penny and I are up and about in time tomorrow hopefully we'll go to a AP momfest thing at a nearby Granola Babies. I really need to get her out to socialize with other babies. My SIL's girls are very social and they are ahead of Penny on certain skills and while I know every baby is different I also wonder if being around other kids is the key, since her littler one copies everything the older does.
We are going out to New York for Christmas, to visit Beardo's family, including those girls. The Mon/Tue/Wed before we'll be driving up to New Hampshire to look around the area where we are interested in moving to, between Brattleboro and Keene. Right now the debate is whether to contact realtors. I think it's a good idea so we can get questions answered about local laws, statutes, concerns, but I'm also afraid of the hard sell. I don't want to pick a house just because we're there and feeling pressured--if we move, I want it to be the right house, not the good-enough house. But the two main drawbacks are A)possible lack of high speed internet access (hard to figure out online, irony?) and B)health insurance. The new health care bill did *not* include taking insurance over state lines and the no-preconditions doesn't take effect yet. We're boned for awhile if we lose our insurance, and probably end up paying through the nose when the laws kick in for real.
My dad joined Facebook and friend requested me. Lol. I don't put anything really personal up there so it should be fine. It's just a bit weird.
