Hello New Peoples
Apparently it is the done thing to write an intro post when one becomes friends with a number of new peoples. I'm not usually one to do intros in communities, let alone my own journal, so bear with me.
I'm Chris. I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to California in 2002. I met my now-husband online later that year and Beardo and I were married in 2004. After some shitty health stuff, we decided to start a family and Penny was born in 2009. I'm a SAHM and Beardo is a WAHD.
I breastfeed, babywear, have co-slept (and still do in the mornings), vaccinate, and use disposable diapers. I generally follow AP principles because they feel natural and right. I do not use CIO techniques, much to my mother's disapproval.
When not chasing after Miss Penny I like to play video games, generally RPGs like Oblivion or Fallout. I've always been an avid reader but haven't had much time lately, though I try to fit in a little before bed. I used to paint but it's been awhile and I wasn't very good to begin with. Beardo and I are both homebodies and don't do a lot of exciting things, but I don't mind. I have had enough drama to last a couple lifetimes.
I'm politically moderate and nonreligious. What people choose to do or believe is their own business. I may or may not debate a point, but I'm always friendly about it.
