Even though I'm not fully pleased with LJ and Six Apart, I went ahead and purchased a permanent account. They were likely to keep my business anyway since I'm so entrenched, perhaps part of their evil plan. I'm not exactly proud but at least I'm honest and recognize my hypocrisy

The shit happening with 6A/LJ is so similar to events I've seen at other places. Image and gimmicks have taken priority over stability, usability and service. Oh looky! We have a mascot! We're so good at providing the masses with dumb extras because we don't know jack about actual business! Happened at deviantART, happening here, and we have that deja vu feeling I mentioned to you.
