When "they", whoever they are, conduct political polls, who the hell do they poll? They sure the hell don't seem to poll me or anyone I know or people like the ones I know. I honestly think more people would be interested in third parties if they were given any fucking press, other than "NADER IS AN ELECTION SPOILER!!!!!!" because JESUS FUCK YOU. They're banned from ballots--WTF? Not allowed on the debates, despite support. Can anyone name the Libertarian candidate without Googling the party?
I personally LOVED the latest governor's election here in California, with over 200 candidates. As long as you paid your fee and had your signatures you were on. Other people thought it was a joke. Gary Coleman, a porn star, a sumo wrestler. But that's what was great. Of course they would never win, but they could have the chance to run, just for the hell of it, and not have a court say it was limited to one Republican jackass and one Democratic slimeball. To vote for who you really thought was best instead of the lesser of two nasty evils. This upcoming election is so sad.
Fuck you if you say I'm wasting my vote, fuck you if you say I'm spoiling the election. The only way to break this bullshit is to vote--and not for the bullshitters.
