Tomorrow my wife has to do a full day of work.  I know, what the fuck, right?  On her day off, and it's not even tax season any more.  Well, as it turns out they had one of their employees resign, so guess who gets stuck with helping out on her day off?  Right.

I have an idea - xeriscape your front yard. No lawn to water everyday in summer, no mowing needed.

I also vote for WRITE BITCH, but I'm partial to the Pheonix Initiative, what can I say?

Thanks for the advice. I think we're going to stick with the traditional lawn for now, but who can say how that may change as time goes on? If you left it up to me I would embrace more of a desert-type motif, but the wife is not down with this idea. So it goes.

I'm going to be submitting TPE again, because I want to have more irons in the fire than just one. I know I said this before, so I'll say it again. I'm going to submit. There.

We are "those people." I don't mean to be all damsel-in-distress-ish here but I don't even know how to turn the damn mower on.

Press the button on the side that is sort of squishy-feeling several times to prime the engine, then yank the cord virutally until either the mower starts or it feels like your arm is going to fall off. Or, be a friend of the environment like we did and get an electric mower that you plug in, but be sure not to run over the power cord.

I almost typed "power chord" right there; guess you can tell where my head has been lately.

We end up being "those people" too... We're really busy - and the days that we have time to mow - it's been raining... *sigh*

I don't have that explanation handy; it's been sunshine all the time for a while now, and I just haven't done it in three weeks. That's what I'll be doing today.
