I had the surgery today, and it was a highly unamusing process.  First of all, when I walked in flanked by the two nurses/medical assistants, one of them asked, "Now, are we doing your shoulder or your back today?  It's written down as both on the chart."

Yeah, because I'm all John Wayne and everything! RAWR!

I got the Vicodin, so that's taken care of. I have to say that everything up until they finished was great, especially for what I paid for it. It was just the after-patient care that sucked. There was no getting around the unpleasantness of the procedure, because it is what it is.

On the plus side, I now have extra grue that I can use for National Novel Writing Month this year. It's horror time baby, yeah!

Just call me The Duke. However, make sure it is not The Dook. It was an interesting experiment that I don't really care to have repeated any time soon.
