Mmmm, du vin :)

Hey, may I ask a question?
Do you know anything about the kids cartoon "Les Mysterieux Cites D'or"?

All I know is there's a French DVD set and a Japanese DVD set, neither of which have English subtitles.

I've followed the French and I can use it to learn better French, too.

But I couldn't watch it with friends because I don't *think* there are any subtitles in there. Shame, it's a great cartoon.

Merci x

Oh, I already have. I got half the episodes from eMule and the other half ages ago on BitTorrent.

The problem I have is they are mostly taken from one of three sources I've seen online; a video tape transfer from some dude who taped it in South Africa or something.

The video quality is kinda crap. I processed both the video and audio and made a two-DVD set. But it looks like it's from worn-out VHS tapes in a lot of places.

I hear there's one other DVD possibility; apparently the Japanese version is identical to the English version in the scenes and stuff, and someone painstakingly redubbed it with the English audio... It's just a shame there's no subs on the French DVD set, as I'd love to enjoy it in the original language with my friends.

Cheers :)

I'll have a few more searches on French DVD sites. If I find out the 6 or 7 DVD box set (like the one here) has subs then I'm going to get it :)

With the exception of the intro song I think it sounds better in French anyway :)
