It will cost you sweat and tears, and perhaps... a little blood.

So yesterday I had my first period in like fifty something days, which means that for a full twenty four hours I did nothing except

1) experience pain, and
2) draw a shitty cartooon vampire on my ipad

-Shadow of the Vampire: It has John Malkovich as the director of Nosferatu, who hires unknown actor Max Shreck to star in his latest film...except that Shreck might be an actual vampire...and he's played by Willem Dafoe!
-Vampire's Kiss: Nic Cage plays an 80s wall street douche who might have become a vampire, or he might be just insane; also insane? Cage's performance (the right kind of insane)
-Nosferatu: The remake by Werner Herzog, with Isabella Rosellini and certified genius/madman Klaus Kinski in the lead role.
-Near Dark: The best 80's vampire flick (yeah, i never liked Lost Boys much), directed by Kat "oscar for the hurt locker, but it was more of a make up award for Point Break" Bigelow; think Twilight on the 80s, only not stupid, vapid, and downright abominable; its actually a great vampire romance.
-Cronos: Guillermo del Toro's first film, it has a really solid twist on the vampire myth.
-Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust: Anime, but oh so damn pretty to look at.
-Daybreakers: Solid sci-fi film about a vampire run society where human blood is running out; it has Dafoe in it!
-LifeForce: B-movie about space vampires of a sort...really good, in an 80's sorta way.
-Priest: Crap in crap wrapper, but Karl Urban plays a cowboy vampire!
-Any of the Hammer films Dracula's with Sir Christopher Lee in the lead role.
-Vampires: Modern trash by John Carpenter, but it has James Woods and one of the Baldwin brothers as vatican funded mercs who hunt vampires. Good for drunk viewing.
-Queen of The damned: IM JOKING HERE! If you actually watch this film, I've heard Anner Rice pops up in your room and gives you a punch in the dick/vag...she might even have some legal paperwork that enables her to do so.
-Dracula: Dead and loving it: Guilty pleasure, since its Mel Brook and Leslie Nielsen working together.

This is an awesome answer, though it makes me realize that my issue is that I've seen most good vamp films despite insisting that I don't love vampires.

-Shadow of the Vampire: one of my all time faves!
-Vampire's Kiss: I watched this for the first time when I was ten and I was just like "what the fuuuuck" the whole time. And I've loved Nic Cage ever since.
-Nosferatu: I have NOT seen this one. On the list.
-Near Dark: Love it! I agree. It's the good version of Twilight. And note which way the gender role vs monster role goes.
-Cronos: been meaning to watch this for forever. ON THE LIST.
-Vampire Hunter D: I've seen most of this, but in pieces. I may check it out.
-Daybreakers: Seen it; enjoyed. What is it with Dafoe and vampire flicks?
-LifeForce: I'm seeing this on, like, imdb vamp rec lists. I wasn't convinced. With your rec? Maaaybe.
-Priest: ohmygod, I feel so bad for Paul Bentley. Like, it's not a bad film, exactly. It's way better than his bullshit angel warrior film. Just...just...so many things going on. I liked it, but it's also the reason why I specified human looking vampires.
-Hammer Horror: CHRISTOPHER LEE FOREVER, sorry Gary Oldman.
-Vampires: UGH I HATE THIS FILM SO MUCH. I love the book. My favorite character, Cat, is this sexy short smart ass who lives through the whole story. In the film he's a rude fat man who dies in the first five minutes. SO ANGRY ABOUT THIS EVEN A DECADE LATER. Has it been a decade? oh god, it's been more than that.
-QotD: I love you, so I will forgive you for mentioning this exists.
-Dracula Dead and Loving it: hmm, I saw this forever ago and remember nothing. Maybe?
