I'm back from NYC! Was it amazing? It was totally fucking amazing and rad as hell. I will--TOMORROW! I am trying to set specific goals for myself--post a minimalist style list of things we did. For now:
The first sensory memory is the smell of the subway, how it clings to your hair.
Some favorite things: the High Line, how someone asked my boyfriend for directions every single day, breezily walking everywhere in short skirts and my filthy bloodstained yankees hat, well behaved dogs everywhere, being young and in love, Korean food everywhere, Coney Island Freak Show, the haunted house adventure, watching Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.
Things I am currently completely obsessed with that you will hear more about:
And of course, my fucking luck is such that the understudy was on for the Phantom, so I have also developed a minor obsession for an actor who has NO QUALITY RECORDINGS OF HIS PERFORMANCE UP ON THE INTERNET, for it is my apparent destiny to be a hipster in all things. Jeremy Stolle (not pictured), damn you and your perfect performance and your powerful but melodic yet still super manly vocals.
