[looks around what used to be the spare room, now his bedroom, & sighs. His clothing is haphazardly spilling out of the closet, yet to be organized. What few trinkets he has are on the nightstand with a pale green lamp dug up from somewhere.]
Home sweet home. Funny that it doesn't even feel like home. I don't recognize any of it.
[runs a hand through his already tousled hair]
I think I'll go for a walk. See about getting my bed moved from the old apartment that Rose mentioned, & then maybe find some paint.
Hopefully if I stay busy, I can avoiding thinking about the things that I don't even remember. I can see the memories written across everyone else's faces, & it all means nothing to me.
[turns on his heel, walking down the hall to the stairs, taking them two at a time before he's out the door without a word]
I guess it's time to stop worrying about the past, & focus on the future, whatever future is even possible in a place like this.
