First gig ever...

Dec 07, 2005 01:07

So tonight, alex and my self played our first gig in the winning post, playing under the temp name of "Dastardly and Muttley"! Only a 25 minute set mind you, but it was enough...

We had some problems...

We arrived to the gig with songs unfinished.
In our last practice we actually finished songs.
I couldn't remember what to play, so used notes to jot memory.
The solos I played were 90% improv.
Nerves, first gig ever man!

But all in all, it went great! No real mistakes what so ever. Alex was utterly brilliant on the synth as normal, and I tried the best I could. The synth sounded breath taking, though as people said, the venue was too small for the kind of sound we make. Crowd seemed okay, I think the fact that most of them were pretty young, and more into their indie music showed, but it was all good. Anyway, our next one will be better, this time we are gonna actually prepare! Thanks to anyone who came, and to the other bands there for letting us "experiment" :)

Oh and a thanks to Roger, he set up all the PA, and the mixer, lighting and did it all. Top stuff. My guitar has never sounded so fucking amazing, and it's thanks to him.

Over and out!
