Taken from Pdglyph and Sess. Doing a New Year meme in July as it's 5am and I have insomnia. Highly doubt anyone's gonna read though lol

Hmmmm...I went to Italy which was pretty cool :)

Don't think I made any, might make one for 2010 though - Do. Not. Be. Ill.

Yes, my sister in law Ann did, her and Simon now are parents to my neice Laura.

Laptop, Creative Zen - both of which I'm getting for Uni. And my own home - Which kinda comes with Uni sorta as I'm living in halls.
7. What date(s) from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 17th - AS results day and A2 results day for most of my friends.
November 21st - One of worst fights with the boyfriend.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Completing my AS year at College, albeit a year late due to illness.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Rather a lot of ill patches causing depressiveness resulting in relationship fails. But things are much better now both with health and relationship. :)

Ha. CFS for the fail. Other thing of note I guess is me tripping on badly surfaced road and sliding several metres down hill on tarmac. Still have all the scars.

A gold and leather imitation notebook with Jane Eyre quotes on it that I use to put Norwegian stuff in.

Simon and Ann, they are great family and parents, the boyfriend on occasion, Bex, Sess, Sy and my other friends. :)

An online friend of one of my closest friends, a friend of mine called Nick, my mum and brother Tim, again my boyfriend on occasion and several people who certainly never deserved Bex as a friend.

Going on holiday to Wales and seeing the Comedy Store Players in London
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
I have no idea...I'm not very good with popular music, I listen to whatever I want to, not what's in the charts.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
In general? I think happier now a lot of things have got sorted out, though there's a bit left to sort, but for this exact time last year I'd say about the same as last summer was a good time too.
older or wiser?
heh both I hope
thinner or fatter?
I don't know about thinner as such but I've certainly lost a few pounds, which isn't really a good thing for anyone who knows how tiny I am already.
richer or poorer?
about the same, but about to set into a portion of my uni funds to get ready for moving in sept so will be richer soon.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Doing stuff with my friends.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Arguing with my mum.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I'm totally doing this quiz at the wrong time of year :D. Christmas 2008 was spent at home and a little bit at Joe's. Christmas 2009 will be spent at home, and the New Year will be spent in Norway :)
21. What was the best book you read?
Gah, read too many books to think, they all blur together.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
No, continued being in love though if that counts.
23. How many one-night stands?
None. It's not my style.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Whose Line Is It Anyway? or Stargate Atlantis or CSI or Donald Stratchey films, or Red vs Blue if webshows count. I was obsessed with a variety of things in 2008, still am.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I don't know about hate, but there's a few people on my dislike and panic at the thought of having to talk to ever again list definately.
26. What political issue stirred you the most?
Probably the economic crisis.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Gah can't remember, in the morning will probably have a hunt in my music files though.
28. What did you want and get?
Some hang out time with Bex and Sess which is sometimes difficult with them both living a bit of distance away.
29. What did you want and not get?
Certain people to listen to what I was saying when I needed their help with things rather than trivialise them/ignore them/make things worse. (But I have got what I wanted in that respect now thankfully)
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
The only film I remember seeing of 2008 in the cinema is The Dark Knight. Oh and I was amused by The Mummy 3, but mostly coz of Jonathan.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
More cuddles.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008
If it actually fits me rather than being too big around the waist and/or boobs, then fucking hail mary.

Joe, except when he was part of the insanity, my cats, wanting to get done of college so I could start on uni.

Damn, I only get to pick one?...Crap...I'll go with David Nykl from SGA, he's an utter sweetheart.

My college friends when they went off to uni, my brother/sis-in-law/neice, my geek frends who I don't get to see as much as I'd like.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Hm, probably Louis, met him through a friend from college, and he went out with another college friend of mine for about a year. They're split up now but I'm still friends with him. Actually more with him than with his ex. Weird.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Trusting people is a dangerous thing to do. People can very easily try to take advantage of that trust.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"There's more to living than the skin we soon dispose, and if you don't tempt the hungry tiger with fresh meat on the bone you might still have a chance" - Back Off Man I'm A Scientist by Easton Legacy.
