(no subject)
i felt like i hadn't drawn anything non-cadaver dave or commissioned work in ages so it was really fun doing this - i was waiting in a car one sunday and had my sketchbook with me. it kinda makes me want to draw all of my favourite spots around melbourne and put it into a little book or something. maybe.
but i've decided i'm going to put more of this city into my fictional city [in my comic] than i originally planned. just little things that other melbournians will recognise, like graffiti that's been there forever, train stations, just stuff in the background.
we've also been going for walks around our neighbourhood at night since the weather's been so good and coming across some really nice houses, which i also want to draw. i don't know why i find houses/buildings so inspiring, but i do. i've been riding my bike past these houses for weeks but you don't pay attention to that kinda thing when you're climbing up a hill and only care about getting enough air into your lungs, or flying back down it just enjoying the ride/avoiding cars. (i live in a hilly area). life moves pretty fast... yea you know the rest.
i'll be posting more art here again with holidays coming up and commissions out of the way soon.
