So this morning after English I decided to end my trash can experiment
and took out the trash, vacuumed, and cleaned out the sink. Can be
messy for only so long I guess. Newho, went to a Scholars forum today
on Islam, the speaker was very interesting and was very knowledgeable
on the subject. His name was Reza Aslan and he has a book out called No
god but God, and it gives a history of Islam and is an in depth
analysis of how it compares to Christianity and Judaism and other major
religions. After learning alot, Islam is basically Christianity with an
added Prophet (Muhammad). Islams believe that Jesus was the Messiah,
believe in one god, a Judgement day, and heaven and hell. These are
just a few similarities, the basic teachings of the Quran run parallel
to that of the Bible. It was interesting to hear about other faiths and
that Islam is actually a branch off of Christianity as Christianity was
a branch off of Judaism. Good event, circled a 5 on the card, lol. Oh
speaking of events, yesterday I went with Brittany and Carolina to a
forum event, I dont bother asking what it is on I just go....well I get
there and ask Brittany what it is on and she says: "Ohhh youll seee,
HAH!" So I'm thinking oh god, its gonna be something dumb, then I look
up and see a tri-fold and see "Women's Health" on it. I looked around
and noticed that there were like four other guys there...so I was like
greeeaaat. Luckily it was mainly about med school and applying for it,
they pitched women's health at the end, but nothing too detailed thank
goodness, haha. Gotta attend an informational session on Materials
Science tomorrow because I'm running out of options, gotta go to 2 and
theres 3 left I think. I don't wanna get my chem quiz back, it had alot
of stuff on that I wasn't fully prepared for, I mainly studied Redox n
half reactions and solubility n stuff. But there was alot more on
galvanic and electrolytic cells, I mean I know what they r and stuff
and can prove it through half reactions but I can't read the damn
diagrams / drawing of em. Basically I'm counting the days down until
Thanksgiving when I can see Laura; love you sweetie! <3 g'night folks
