Sports in general don't hold a lot of my interests, but I in particularI have zero interest in football. It doesn't help that football seems to be played by enormously overpaid douchebags, while at the same the football clubs can't afford to pay the police for the extra protection needed from the football fans that like to bash other people's heads in.
When talking to colleagues this week, it turned out I wasn't alone in my football-desinteret. Instead, we started about the various things to do during a Netherlands football game. After all, if half the country is sitting in front of the telly, surely that means opportunities from some other normally-overcrowded activities?
So far the list has been:
-Going to a fancy restaurant (reservations shouldn't be an issue)
-Visit a nature reserve (even more peace & quiet than normal)
-Catch the latest movie in the cinema (best seats still available)
The Dutch team still has some matches to go... so any other suggestions?
