Belated results post
A lil' while ago I did the quotes-from-movies meme. Some of them had not been guessed and so my mother was anxiously asking me when I'd post the results (see, there is at least one person still interested in my never-updated-journal).
But before I go to the results, I have some waiving-of-the-index-finger to do. You see flist, I'm disappointed in you. Nobody of you guessed 12 Angry Men, which means I'm afraid I have to call you a "cultuurbarbaar". Expect to hear a lengthy rant about the awesomeness of this classic movie during the next Geekfest.
Not guessed were:
9. Juno. Which is a hilariously funny, fresh movie about a witty teenager, who gets knocked up. Suitable for sarcastic people.
17. The Usual Suspects. Yeah, I didn't want to use a quote with the words "Keyzer Soze" in them, 'cause that would've been too obvious. But that didn't leave many other options. Wouldn't have guessed the quote myself either.
18. Chicken Run. Not really a huge fav of mine, but I was running out of ideas at this point.
Half an hour after posting I realised I should've changed number 18 into the following:
Kid #3 (note: about 6 years old) "My Mommy says smoking kills."
N: "Oh, is your Mommy a doctor?"
Kid #3: "No."
N: "A scientific researcher of some kind?"
Kid #3: No.
N: "Well, then she's hardly a credible expert, is she?"
Seriously, you need to see this scene from the movie. It's awesome.
In other news: the new Dido cd is absolutely wonderful. Exactly my kind of music, which is why I play it often. Patrick has not yet gone insane by it.
