Hope everybody had a super terrific holiday... or at least an inoffensive period of time. ;}

Anywho, we had a very nice, rather chill holiday. We were actually able to spend Christmas day w/ Squeezums parents & his brother for the first time... ever, really, since I've been around (usually the parentals go up to visit the out-of-state sister & her brood of grandkids, and/or Squeezums and/or Brother Surly have to work). I tried to include my brother in festivities (SMom specifically invited him over for Xmas, & I offered to pick him up, bring him back here for awhile, then drive him home eventually). Ed is Ed, though, & he weaseled out of all of it. Ed being Ed, I really can't tell if he reallytruly had *that* much work to do that he couldn't take any time off (big trade show coming up, lynchpin of their production staff just quit, gotta pick up the slack, et bloody cetera), if he was just being his usual "sounds like too much trouble" self (remember, I come by this shit naturally ;} ), or if he was too depressed about the first real Xmas w/o Mom to mark it in any real way.

Can you believe that the anniversary of Mom's death came & went & I didn't even get drunk? I think that means I'm healing. It's rare, now, that I instinctively think of stuff that I need to tell Mom... but I still do it. It's been awhile, then earlier tonight, Squeezums were at the grocery store, & I noticed a rack of stuffed animals. "This is the strangest thing, ever! It's a giraffe, but w/o a giraffe neck!" "Then it's not a giraffe." "But it's got giraffe spots, & those weird little giraffe horns!" "It's something else... like a... Biraffe!" I then admitted to Squeezums that as soon as I saw the critter, I thought "I should get that for Mom [who collected giraffes], 'cuz she surely doesn't have any giraffes like that!" Squeezums gave me a big hug, & bought me beer. I still kinda want to go buy that biraffe, though.
In other news, Squeezums & I got Guild Wars for Xmas (thanks, Bri-O & Cybrgrl! :D ). If anyone else is in Prophecies, give me a whisper. I'm Aether Bunny. I'm still in Pre-Searing, but should be in Post before much longer (I could go to Post, now, but I'm still learning how to function in the heat of a cooperative battle w/o becoming completely spastic, targeting something on the next hill over, & either dying or sheepishly picking up loot dropped by whatever the other party member killed while I was busy being useless. ^_^
