The group trudged grudgingly back to Inoue’s house, entering the door one at a time and leaving muddy footprints all over the carpet. All of them were looking worse for the wear, but Hitsugaya Toushirou was by far in the worst shape of them all. As everyone else stopped in the living room, he trudged on to the guest room, grabbed his wallet, and returned to the others. He handed each member of his party 2500 yen.
“Now, what did you see this morning?”
“Absolutely nothing, sir!” they chimed in unison.
It wasn’t a bribe. It was … positive reinforcement.
