Niagara & Apartment Hunting

Jul 06, 2007 00:05

Niagara Falls was fantabulous! long commute, Cirque Niagara, check in at the hotel, supper, fireworks, exploration of Clifton Hill: midway games, SkyWheel, Rainforest Cafe, Casino Niagara, brief sleep, check out, breakfast, Maid of the Mist, exploration of Falls Avenue & more of Clifton Hill, more Casino Niagara, Screamers, lunch, Marineland, supper, drive home! I could go on forever about each thing but I'll spare you the details unless of course there's anything listed there you want to hear about. :)

I've been kind of frazzled since I've gotten back. My room is a mess and I keep forgetting to bring stuff downtown with me for class.
Tuesday: a pen (kind of important for taking notes, I had to stop and buy one even though I own a billion)
Wednesday: my wallet (which I realized standing in a Tim Hortons)
Thursday: sunglasses (less important, but still frustrating)

I can feel the infamous sinus sickly feeling again. Since I've started the nasal spray from the sinus specialist I haven't gotten an actual infection, but I still get sick where I feel like I have one. My ears and throat hurt. :(

I found out this week that I didn't get the job on residence at UNBC. When I asked for feedback she just said that I was a really strong candidate but there were more qualified applicants. humph. I was really hoping for the job as a source of income and a place to live. But, since I did all that I could I'm going with the 'everything happens for a reason' motto and moving forward. Now I'm apartment hunting for my very own place, which is a stepping stone of sorts. It would be more exciting if I could actually look at the apartments though...
