after my exam next week, I will pretty much be done the first out of my last two credits! I wrote the midterm for my full credit course yesterday and the exam is to finish the condensed half credit so that i can start a new one in july

last night i got to experience some of the scariness that can be Toronto. walking down Bloor I first came across a man who was stomping on the gas and then screeching to a halt repeatedly about ever 20 feet. he then ran a red light, almost hit several pedestrians and then stopped his car in the middle of the road and got out and started chasing after someone yelling and cursing.

then a little ways up I saw some sort of fight (mostly verbal but with physical contact) going on and decided not to cross the street. however, the people in the altercation ran in the middle of the intersection and then to the corner i was at. i never did figure out what was going on but from the tidbits i heard, it seemed as if the woman was accusing the man of touching someone he shouldn't (the woman? her daughter? the baby?) and the woman was being accused of shoplifting. a firetruck happened to drive through the intersection as the people ran into the road and so i was fairly content that someone was there who could help. i hate that feeling of not knowing what is going on, why no one is helping, and whether i should call the police. and i hate how people crowd around just to watch!

when i got home i slept for close to 12 hours, which was fantastic and really needed. only now, i feel like i have a cold. yuck.
