(no subject)
This past week was horrible… I barely slept the entire time, handed both assignments in late, had a few break downs, missed class and meetings, and my (still pretty new) lap top broke…
Today was a much needed break from all of that. I went to see the Phantom of the Opera!
I went downtown to meet Lise and her sisters at the Eaton Centre, which was closed and dark because of this. Then we went back to Lise’s house where Claire made us spaghetti, and then off towards the theatre. We were really late, so we first ran (literally) a few blocks and then hailed a cab… at the theatre we started running (again literally) up the stairs as soon as we got there because the warning bells were ringing. Our seats were at the top balcony and the stairs were never ending (I’m going to guess at least 8 flights ?). Once inside we had to make the entire row stand up to let us in because our seats were in the middle. Even with all of the drama…. We made it!
I had never seen Phantom, so it was pretty exciting. I have the creepy music playing in my head still. I was amazed by how elaborate the sets and the costumes were. I was also surprised by how large the cast was, close to 40 people I would guess. I’m really glad that I got to go.
