Oh good! I'm glad that rings true for you. I feel like it's a fairly common response to uncomfortable or scary situations. People are very good with the denial thing.
Fish tank~? What fish tank~? *whistles innocently* ...Timmy's parents gave him a credit card so he can buy whatever he wants. Because that's another crappy rich parent tactic I'm familiar with. Problem? Throw money at it! They don't really care what he buys, but it does show up on their bill, so they notice. That scene was kind of a recent addition... it occurred to me as funny. Casual attempt to start a conversation with their son? EPIC FAIL.
Damn, I'm two for two! ...I have other suspicions but I think at this point I should stop guessing and let it be a happy mystery. ^_^;; I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day anyway, darling! <3 <3

It does and people are indeed very good at denial.
I think it showed how they parent and interact with their son quite well. It was an epic fail for them. XD And I got the sense that they certainly think Tim is as creepy as the rest of us, even if they won't admit it.
Mysteries are fun. I did! The roomie and I made a yummy dinner and watched It Could Happen to You. It was fun. Also chocolate. There was lots of chocolate.

...Yeah, I think Jack and Janet's unspoken policy is "don't ask, don't ask, we don't want to know, don't ask!"
Mine was similar! My roomie and I got each other Valentiney presents that included notes and doodles and chocolatey things, and I made soup. ^_^
