I am too tired to think of a clever subject line.

Soooooooo, I'm out of a job again. As predicted.

...Which means I can sleep as long as I want to tomorrow morning! Which will hopefully still be a reasonable hour. I'm going to sleep early by my standards. SO TIRED. But still no regrets. Metric concert is totally worth going to work on only four hours' rest.

EDIT: I just slept for 11 hours ( Read more... )

Aw. Well, like you said, as predicted. Hopefully something else will turn up soon.

In the meantime, want to go see The Road sometime this week/weekend? I have work tomorrow from noon to 5pm, but maybe we could go Friday, or this weekend sometime. The only place it's playing is the Fox tower right now.

The problem is, in two weeks I'm getting on a plane and going to Hawaii, and I'm not coming back from that for two weeks. ...So it's kind of an awkward time to get a job, unless I can manage to get another one-week assignment. : \ ...In the meantime, I do need money. I'm gonna try applying for unemployment, and just not look very hard for jobs for the rest of the month. ^_^;;

Yuss! Early Thursday evening and early Friday evening I am planning to be in the gym getting exercise ohmigod, but other than that I don't have any real solid plans, so we could pretty much just pick a time and I'll plan around it.

Yeah, that does make it tough. Well, try unemployment, yeah. Here's the benefits calculator, if that helps.

Sweet! I say we go for a matinee price, just because we can. And then maybe I can do some Christmas shopping downtown beforehand, too. Maybe the 2:50 pm showing?

Thanks.

What, like on Saturday or something?

Oh. Uh, wow, I meant Friday but somehow failed to say it. Either Friday or Saturday works for me just fine, though. ... I suppose a 2:50 movie might cut into your gym time, though, hm. Well, I'd be happy to go to the 1 pm showing if you think you can get up early enough. ;D I'd rather tomorrow than Saturday because starting tomorrow evening the weather might get... challenging.

Sure, I can totally go tomorrow at 1! Should we meet down there, or should I try to see if Jarvis is available? (Dar says she'd rather wait to see it on DVD or download, and she picked up a shift tonight, so she might be asleep.) I'm assuming you won't have access to a car.

Woo! And if Dar won't need her car, that would save a lot of bus time, but really I'm fine with either. So, I guess, why don't you check, since indeed I will not have a car. Maybe we could go down a little early and get a lunch cart lunch or something, that would be fun.

Dar says it's cool if we borrow Jarvis. And Jarvis is all for it. :D Lunch cart or something sounds great. Shall I come get you around 11, 11:30 thereabouts?

Hooray! And I'm glad Jarvis approves as well, haha. So yeah, anywhere in there is fine. Call when you leave to come get me, maybe. In the meantime, I'm looking up good places to eat food cart meals indoors because sitting outside in 20-something degree weather and eating lunch sounds unpleasant.

Sure, I'll give you a call first.

...There's also The People's Sandwich of Portland....

Yes, so there is. ;D But I really want to try to grab some khao man gai at the khao man gai cart, since it's supposedly pretty much the best thing ever and I haven't gotten to try it yet. Either that or check out the Frying Scotsman, though apparently that's up in the Pearl. Which may be a good Christmas-shopping destination, actually.

...You haven't had People's Sandwich yet, I don't think, and that's also the best thing ever. :P But I'm totally cool with some khao man gai, it sounds freaking awesome and I haven't been there either. Do you know where it is?

Yeah, I investigated The Frying Scotsman myself the other day; I was hoping to visit it before the Metric concert, but it was inconvenient.

Anyway, we can always just take our food into the mall and grab a bench.

I know, I know, but I just don't feel like sandwiches. I feel like Thai food, or some other tasty lunch cart goodness. Khao Man Gai is at the Alder block of carts, the one we usually end up at. Though the Side Cart (fried everything!) would also be fun to try.

Yeah, if we go to the Alder block, that'll be easy enough for sure.

Yes! The fried cart! I've been thinking about that thing, that's another one I really need to try. Oh man.

Oh Portland, why so much good food?

...So apparently Becca and Melissa will be in town on the 15th. Woot!

I read a review for it a few minutes ago. It looks awesome. So awesome.

Baww, I have work that day. I can hang out after dinner, though.
