Can't get much newer than my latest fic, completed and posted yesterday! I've been kinda blocked for weeks and weeks, and when lovely nerdwegian had a birthday, giftfic seemed like a good excuse to snap out of my funk. She asked for tropes, and the first and best and tropiest thing I thought of was TRAPPED IN A CLOSET. One of her suggestions for pairing was Steve/Sam, and I leapt on that suggestion also, since I'd never written them but I enjoy their dynamic. I immediately started writing in my head, but it took me a few days to pull myself out of my funk and actually write the damn thing down. I'm super glad I did because writing Hey, it's nice in here was SO. FREAKING. FUN. I spent some time finishing it up yesterday and my cheeks started to hurt and I realized I'd been smiling at my screen for hours. The whole thing is exceedingly silly and I love it lots, it was exactly what I needed.
I blatantly stole the "naked on a cold day" thing from Austin Powers, and the title is a quote from the South Park Scientology episode "Trapped in the Closet," because I crack myself up. Like I said, I had a lot of fun with this, and I'm really happy with how it came out. STEVE AND SAM ARE SUCH DELIGHT, UGH. TT_TT
With the exception of the Three Sentence Ficathon, which doesn't really count as full fics because...three sentences, I have still never written the same MCU pairing twice, which is something I'm weirdly proud of. Multishipper pride, bitches!
