So that reference doesn't actually work but it's funny, shut up.Ok, that expression "knock on wood", you say something and then you realize maybe you just jinxed yourself so you knock your knuckles against something made of wood to ward yourself. So you know how instead of knocking on actual wood, you habitually knock against your own skull as ( Read more... )

Fffff yeah, everybody's commenting like, "I KNOCK ON MY HEAD TOO, EVERYBODY DOES THAT WHERE I LIVE," but TOO BAD, DOESN'T COUNT, neither of us have ever seen anyone else do that, SO THERE. XP ...It doesn't actually surprise me that I'm not the only person to come up with that stupid joke, but, yeah, it's kind of become one of my things, I do it all the time, have done for the last decade-plus.

HE IS LOVELY. Ugh, I've gone all soppy and ridiculous and disgusting, I'm having to hold myself back from writing a flaily post every single time we do something together, this is so dumb. /o\

I THINK THAT SCENE IS EVERYONE'S FAVORITE SCENE. When we talk about it on Twitter we call it The Thing so we don't spoil people, and everyone who's seen the movie just automatically knows what we're on about, THERE IS ONLY ONE POSSIBLE 'THE THING'. So, yeah, just like Hulk vs. Loki was the universally acknowledged best part of Avengers, I think this is the universally acknowledged best part of Thor 2. I LAUGHED SO HARD AND SO LONG AND SO LOUDLY.

Yeah, Loki was in kind of a dark awful stressful place in Avengers. There were a few good jokes! My favorite is the bit when Thor says, "Listen to me, brother-" and then Tony tackles him and Loki's like, "...I'm listening!" I laughed so hard at that one, he's such a douchebag I can't even. <3333 Also when Thor tries to tackle Loki as he's leaving the Hulk cage but it's just an illusion and Loki's like, "Are you ever not going to fall for that?" ...But yeah, I think it was hard to find space for Loki to be silly in that movie.

I LOVED MJOLNIR FLYING AROUND TRYING TO FIND THOR AND MISSING HIM AND HAVING TO CHANGE DIRECTION, that was truly hilarious and, just, EXCELLENT JOB TO WHOMEVER STORYBOARDED THAT, that was some kind of genius, I love it when writers take proper advantage of the current circumstances. But yes, the whole movie was so hilarious, I love that about the Thor movies, they're so lighthearted even when Serious Shit is happening. Ian the Intern was so cute, and actually my second-hardest laughter of the film was when he shrieked in terror, I cackled quite inappropriately loudly. ..Oh god, poor Selvig, I couldn't decide whether to laugh or feel sad, I wanted to give him all the hugs, that poor man.
