Yay for Dr. Eleanor "Ellie" Arroway! I love "Contact", definitely one of my fav movies. :) Oh yeah, Zoe Washburne is awesome! All the women in "Firefly" are, in different ways. So many movies/tv shows to rewatch and so little time...

If RL ever gives me a break, I have to do this meme, too.

Ugh, Contact, I love that movie so hard, definitely one of my all-time faves. And Ellie has always been one of my heroes. (Also like two different people told me I remind them of her? I guess there's a passing resemblance and I'm all "WHOO SCIENCE!", so that's probably why... whatev, I'll take it, it's a flattering comparison!)

...One of these years I should really read the book.

I have read the books, so ... I'mma keep my mouth shut since, yeah, I don't want the Mother Of Dragons fucking my shit up. XD (And because it's a great story to experience un-spoiled.) She's a great character for all the reasons you listed, and more. There's a lot of viewers/readers who don't like Cat, which I never understood because I've always liked her. I mean with all the stuff she goes through, you can't expect her to be a ray of sunshine. And I love Brienne. She's even more frightening in the TV show, actually! XD ( ... )

Oh man, I adore Cat. She's badass. I mean, she's not perfect, but who says a character has to be for you to love them? I think it was a bad move for her to undermine her son's authority and let Jaime Lannister go, I mean, just tactically that was a poor decision, I'm with her son on that one, but I can't really blame her for doing it. And Brienne! We don't really know her very well, but what I see I like. I really just can't help myself. I love women who are like FUCK THE STATUS QUO. ...Also I would like to point out that I limited my list to adult women, otherwise ARYA WOULD SO BE ON THIS LIST OHMIGOD ( ... )

Oh man, it's given me such a hard case of OH GOD I WANT TO REWATCH EVERYTHING. Just rewatched Luther, though, which was actually partially what prompted me to actually do this meme. And I just rewatched a bunch of White Collar, and... Elizabeth Burke isn't on this list, but just barely, she's like, 11 or 12 or something.
