Okay, so November didn't go anything according to plan, aside from feeding people on Thanksgiving Day.

Both novels on which I am working saw incremental work/changes, but not the major work they required. I'm going to have to work my ass of in December and January to get them both into editable shape.

Life intervenes.

Have I told you lately how much I love my Minoushka? I love her, I do. And she's one of the best, most gorgeous cats who has ever entered my life. Plus, her default emotion is "happy"--wtf am I supposed to do with a constantly happy cat?

Mishna in springtime.

How can you not love this picture of Princess 1 and Princess 2? Mishna: best cat ever? Or best cat ever?

No matter how destitute we are, my Mishna is the best cat for me at this time in my life. I say her name from across the room, and by the time I touch her, she's purring. She purrs every time I touch her when she deigns to sleep with me at night. She's just inherently happy, a state in cats with which I am not familiar. Every time one of us picks her up, muttering "Oof, big girl." because she's 15+lbs, she's delighted to have attention paid to her. Mishna is constantly surprised that we want to hold her and have near us--a symptom of her having spent her first four to six months being pushed away by her first family who "discovered" they were allergic to cats. Every day is a lesson in "Mishna, come here, I want to hold you."

Best cat I could have chosen for this time in my life.
